HOW DID TILLY THINGS BEGIN?
I bought my new kitten gracie a year ago and I started drawing pictures of her. These illustrations gave me the idea to start using disney cat heads. This was a really fun way to identify myself as an artist and be recognised for my own style. My friends know that I am obsessed with disney characters and illustration, I have been drawing them for years. I have now started drawing commissions for bloggers and brands.
DID YOU ALWAYS WANT TO PURSUE FASHION ILLUSTRATION?
Creativity runs in my family and my mum used to be a textile designer for disney and my grandpa was an author and illustrator. From a young age I wrote and illustrated my own poetry books. I was always drawing fashion drawings using my Bratz dolls as models. I specialised in illustration during my foundation degree at ual. I then went on to to study fashion at Nottingham Trent University.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
My all-time favourite illustrator is Quentin Blake. Although my style and technique is very different from his, Blake creates imaginative and memorable images that stay with you for a lifetime. In terms of fashion illustration, I am heavily inspired by Laura Laine. I love her unique fluid style and attention to detail. To be inspired I often browse through Pinterest and WGSN, I like visit exhibitions, read literature, watch films and most all of be inspired by other people! I also find myself re-watching Disney films for inspiration – I love the magic of them and I feel that shows through my illustrations.

FAVOURITE INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT?
I adore so many but I love what the illustrator Angela Hicks stands for. Her illustrations are so current and humorous and I am always checking out her page to see what her latest post is. I also absolutely adore the T-shirt collaboration that she did with Gucci. Although I have to say, Gemma Collins is also a guilty pleasure of mine!
